On the occasion of the worldwide Earth Strike Day on 20th September 2019, the whole school spent the day learning new things about climate change and how we can all contribute to preserving our precious planet and everything on it. Here are some examples:
Rabbit class enjoyed looking at the world globe. They explored Ice finding out which one melted first – the ice in the cool classroom or outside in the sun.
Thoresby class were amazed to see how far some of our food travels before it reaches our supermarkets.
Bestwood and Thoresby class made biodegradable plastic out of cornflour and oil.
Welbeck class learned about different things everyone can do to save the planet.
