Latest News from Bracken Hill School and our community
On Thursday 14th February a team from Bracken Hill took part in a Table Cricket County Competition held at the Nottingham Trent University.
Lavinia, Luke, Belle, Louise and Kiera from Welbeck class and Alex, Lauren, Kye, Caitlyn and Matthew from Newstead class all took part in the competition, playing games against teams from Redgate School, Sandon School and Ambergate Sports College, Woodlands School, The Beech Academy, Fountaindale School, Oakfield School and Carlton Digby School.
They all played amazingly and was a credit to the school. Everyone enjoyed taking part and took joy in congratulating the overall winners, Fountaindale School at the end of the day.
We had some very special visitors to school on Monday 28th January. ZooLab came in and introduced us to a range of Rain Forest creatures! Each class had an opportunity to get up close and personal with the creatures. We met Sally the Giant Snail, Steve the Scorpion, Maxine the Millipede, Gary the Gecko, Chloe the Cockroach and Sophie the Corn Snake.
Everyone enjoyed the day and for some they conquered a fear or two!
