Through my role as school's Community Liaison, I have recently started working with a local food bank charity; Kirkby Storehouse, based at Ashwood Centre in Kirkby. They are a phenomenal charity who help support local people. Now, working together, we are able to deliver much needed food items to families of our school.
In addition to the food we deliver, we also work closely with Acre Young People Centre. From April 2021, our Key Stage 4 have been working hard on preparing and cooking meals. With the delicious meals prepared, we have been able to help out families who have expressed an interest in being supported.
