Safeguarding at Bracken Hill
At Bracken Hill School, Child Protection and Safeguarding are a priority.
Bracken Hill is committed to keeping all children safe. Any concerns will be dealt with in a timely manner and all appropriate policies are in place to ensure we act in the best interests of the child.
We recognise the vulnerability of our students and have systems in place to support and protect.
Safeguarding children is defined as: The actions we take to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm are everyone’s responsibility.
Everyone who comes into contact with children and families has a role to play. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is defined as:
• Protecting children from maltreatment.
• Preventing the impairment of children’s mental and physical health or development.
• Ensuring that children grow up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care.
• Taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes.
